Artist's Statement

Ajamu's objective through experimentation and risk taking is to transgress and push many contemporary debates in relation to the body, difference and representation.

"My politics / photographic practise emanates from a culture of Otherness. My aim is to create challenging / innovative work that cuts through the bullshit surrounding the unsatisfactory way those with culturally forbidden lives / desires are represented, (or hidden) within Western Society".
